These are the terms in force. Changes are versioned and noticed under §10.
These terms govern the BlueFox Edge service — the API at api.bluefoxedge.ai, the website at bluefoxedge.ai, and the SDKs published for it — purchased from Format Dynamics, Inc. (DBA BlueFox). Where a signed order form exists between us, that order form governs over these terms. BlueFox Edge is an independent record and verification service operated by Format Dynamics, Inc. (DBA BlueFox). The service provides verification of claims about brands, pricing, policies, financial data, compliance, and other factual information for AI agents and developers.
To access the API you must create an API key by providing a valid email address. Each entity (person or organization) may hold multiple API keys. You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Sharing keys or using another party's key without authorization is prohibited.
You agree not to: (a) circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures; (b) submit intentionally misleading, fraudulent, or illegal content for verification; (c) use the service for any purpose that violates applicable law; (d) reverse-engineer, scrape, or re-distribute verification data at scale; (e) use automated tools to create excessive API keys.
These terms govern purchases of BlueFox Edge: API keys, subscription plans, and per-request x402 payments at api.bluefoxedge.ai. Purchases of any other Format Dynamics product are governed by that product's own terms. Subscription plans are billed through Stripe. Per-call payments use the x402 protocol with USDC on the Base network; the 402 response for each priced endpoint states the exact payment terms. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Per-call payments are non-refundable. Subscription refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Free tier: 100 API calls per UTC day. Two meters, one bill: your plan sets the API-call allowance (100 requests/day on the free tier), while signed mints are counted separately — only the free tier is mint-capped, at 1 signed mint per UTC day. A mint spends one call from that same allowance, so the mint cap sits inside it, not beside it, and a third ceiling sits inside the same allowance: 10 claim-verification calls per UTC day. Paid plans include signed mints — your plan's daily call limit is the only meter. Every keyless call has a posted per-request price — the x402 table at /.well-known/x402 is the whole keyless price list, and each door's 402 is the quote of record. With a key, calls draw on your plan; the mint is the only act the free tier meters separately. Paid plans have higher limits as described on the pricing page. We provide the service on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific uptime SLA. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access to maintain service stability.
Claims submitted for verification are processed and may be stored to provide audit trails and improve the service. PII is redacted from our application logs. The submitted claim text is retained in audit records. We do not sell your data to third parties. Our security-incident notification commitment is stated in the Privacy Policy. BlueFox Edge, its API, documentation, and underlying technology are owned by Format Dynamics, Inc. (DBA BlueFox). API responses contain factual verification data and are not subject to copyright claims by us. You retain ownership of your input data.
BlueFox Edge provides factual verification on a best-effort basis. Verification results should not be treated as legal, financial, or professional advice. We are not liable for any damages arising from incorrect verifications, service outages, or reliance on API responses. Use at your own risk. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Format Dynamics, Inc. (DBA BlueFox) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
We may suspend or terminate API keys for violations of these terms, abuse, or non-payment. You may delete your API keys at any time. Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases immediately.
We may update these terms at any time. We will notify registered users via email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Colorado.
